Updated: 18 March 20008: Thecus has renamed the N3200M to the M3800.

Thecus today announced two additions to its line of RAID 5 NASes, the three-drive N3200M and five drive iSCSI i5500.

Thecus N3200MThe N3200M is aimed at media serving applications and has DLNA, UPnP AV, iTunes servers and includes a photo sharing application and USB webcam support.

Thecus has announced a low-cost version of its N2100 two-drive SATA NAS. The N299 is based on a StorLink SL3516 32-bit SoC Processor instead of the 600 MHz Intel 80219 Xscale processor used in the N2100. The product has two gigabit Ethernet ports and supports two internal SATA drives that can be configured in JBOD, RAID 0 or RAID 1. Additional external storage can be added via three USB 2.0 ports.

Features include iTunes, Photo and UPnP media servers as well as a download manager for scheduled, unattended BitTorrent, HTTP and FTP downloading.

Thecus did not provide pricing or availability.

The N3200 features three SATA hard disk bays supporting a total of 3TB raw storage capacity and JBOD, RAID1 and RAID5 formats.

Thecus today announced an updated version of its high-performance five-bay RAID NAS.

The N5200PRO doubles the processor speed and memory of its predecessor, using a 1.5 GHz Intel Celeron M processor and 512MB of DDR memory.

The N5200PRO features up to 5TB of capacity with five 3.5" SATA drive bays and supports multiple RAID levels, allowing multiple RAID volumes on a single system. The N5200PRO also supports iSCSI initiators, enabling users to access the N5200PRO as an iSCSI target device over the Internet or LAN.

Thecus Technology today announced a "completely updated" version of its N4100 RAID NAS.

The N4100+ supports RAID 0, 1, 5, and JBOD modes with hot-swap, hot spare and auto rebuild capabilities. The hardware platform is powered by a 600MHz Intel 80219 CPU, has 128MB of DDR memory, four hard drive bays for 3.5" SATA drives and dual gigabit Ethernet ports.

Supported services include FTP, USB print, iTunes and Mediabolic DLNA. An integrated download manager enables BitTorrent, HTTP and FTP downloading without requiring a PC. Server-to-server backup is provided via Thecus' integrated Nsync service while Windows clients can be backed up using the included Thecus Backup Utility.

The street price will be about $460 when the product is available next month.

The 1U4500 is a more powerful, four bay rackmount version of N5200 BYOD NAS with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD support.

Thecus Technololgy recently introduced its 1U4500 Rackmount Storage Device. The 1U4500 is a four-drive SATA NAS supporting up to RAID 10 in a a 1U rackmount form factor.

The new NAS is powered by an ultra-low voltage 1.5GHz Intel Celeron M processor with 512MB of DDR memory. Features include four hot-swappable hard disk trays that accept standard 3.5” SATAII hard disks for up to 3 TB of storage, eSATA port, LCD status display, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD support and dual gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3ad-based Load Balancing and Failover capabilities.

Thecus Technology recently announced the N1200 combination BYOD NAS and router.

The N1200 can accept one 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drive and has one eSATA and two USB 2.0 ports for capacity expansion. A "one-touch" copy button is provided for easy file back up from digital cameras or USB flash drives.
