HotBrick Network Solutions recently introduced the VPN 800/2G, a dual WAN router with IPsec endpoint capability.
The router supports 9 load balancing methods and automatic failover on its dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet WAN ports. A built-in 8 port 10/100 plus two 10/100/1000 switch provides LAN client connection.
100 simultaneous IPSec VPN tunnels with DES, 3DES and AES encryption support remote client or gateway-to-gateway connection. HotBrick's standard VPN client has no node license limitation.
Other features include a SPI+NAT firewall, one-to-one NAT and port-based QoS for bandwidth management.
The VPN 800/2G is available immediately at an MSRP of $899.
D-Link yesterday announced a new VPN SSL Firewall targeted at SMB buyers.
The D-Link DFL-S500 protects against viruses, worms, spyware, and hackers on VPN connections by integrating network and endpoint security. The firewall has seven LAN ports, two WAN ports, and a user-configurable server port. Other features include remote management, bandwidth control and access policies, SNMP support and e-mail alerts
The DFL-S500 is expected to ship by the end of June. Pricing was not announced.
SonicWALL announced today that it has expanded the capabilities of its SSL-VPN series with new industry certifications and feature enhancements.
SonicWALL Firmware Version 2.1 for its SSL-VPN 2000 and 4000 appliances adds drag-and-drop functionality in the new Java version of the file shares applet. This new firmware version also provides LDAP authentication capabilities for multiple organizational units, and offers access control based on both existing Active Directory group and RADIUS group memberships.
