Introduction

Linksys Dual-Band Wireless A+G Broadband Router

Linksys Dual-Band Wireless A+G Broadband Router
Summary Atheros (11a), Broadcom (b/g) dual-band tri-mode router. Does not support wireless bridging or repeating
Update None
Pros • Second-generation 11a performance
• No WEP enabled performance degradation
• Separate b/g and a radios
Cons • Only about 9Mbps average 11g performance
• Sub-par 11b performance
• Non-upgradable, non-diversity antennas
• Wireless repeating and bridging not supported

The WRT55AG Dual-Band Wireless A+G Broadband Router is the routing member of Linksys' Wireless A+G product line. It's the first dual-band, tri-mode (a/b/g) AP or router that I was able to get my hands on, and I found that there is work yet to be done before I'd plunk my money down for it.
