Gateway Computer has joined other PC manufacturers in offering draft 802.11n wireless options for its consumer lines of desktop and notebook PCs. Marvell announced that Gateway is using its TopDog draft 802.11n WLAN technology in Gateway's" consumer lines of desktop and notebook PCs".

Earlier this month, Broadcom announced that Lenovo is using Broadcom's Intensi-fi 11n chipset in Lenovo's new N100 widescreen notebook. And back in July, Dell began offering draft 11n wireless options using Broadcom's chipset in "select Inspiron" notebook models and its XPS notebook line.

Wireless Draft N is now available as an option on the DX420 line of desktop PCs for $49 and will be available in notebooks in January 2007.
