Updated 2/1/2007 The new NAS is powered by an ultra-low voltage 1.5GHz Intel Celeron M processor with 512MB of DDR memory. Features include four hot-swappable hard disk trays that accept standard 3.5 SATAII hard disks for up to 3 TB of storage, eSATA port, LCD status display, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD support and dual gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3ad-based Load Balancing and Failover capabilities. The 1U4500 also features "Quick RAID", which builds a RAID "within minutes on first use" as well as RAID migration and RAID expansion features. Thecus will offer the 1U4500 both with (1U4500R) an without (1U4500S) a redundant 250W power supply. Both will be available later this month at suggested MSRPs of $1400 and $1100 respectively.
