Linksys yesterday announced a new SIP phone, attendant console, 8 port ATA and ADSL2+ Gateway with VoIP at the Spring VON show.

The 6-Line Color Display IP Desktop Phone (SPA962) and the 32-Button Attendant Console (SPA932) expand the company's Voice System (LVS) Business Series line and are designed for small businesses that are using a hosted IP telephony service, a SIP-based IP PBX or IP Centrex deployment.

The SPA962 phone has a 4" 320x240 LCD display and handles six active, independently programmable lines/accounts.Other features include dual switched 10/100 Ethernet ports with PoE support, built-in speakerphone, 2.5 mm headset jack and encrypted calling via "pre-standard implementation" of secure RTP and SIP over TLS. The phone will be available in Q2 at $320 estimated street price.

The SPA932 32-Button Attendant Console attaches to the SPA962 IP Phone and provides 32 programmable speed-dial or direct station select (DSS) buttons. Each button illuminates the status of the line (idle, ringing, busy, or null) via a busy lamp field. Incoming calls received can be transferred by pushing a button on the SPA932 assigned to the extension. Two additional attendant consoles can be deployed, offering a total of 64 additional buttons. The SPA932 will also be available in Q2 for $100 estimated street.

The 8-Port Analog Telephone Adapter (SPA8000) turns an existing Internet connection into a phone line for placing and receiving phone calls. The adapter comes with eight standard phone ports (RJ-11 FXS), one RJ-21 50-pin connector and one 10/100 Ethernet port (RJ-45) to connect the ATA to a router or multi- layer switch for connection to the Internet.

The SPA8000 can be remotely provisioned via an automated, secure profile upload and supports dynamic, in-service software upgrades. Other features include IP media loopback and SIP over TLS support and DHCP renewal on timeout. The SPA8000 will be available this month for $300 estimated street.

The ADSL2+ Gateway with VoIP (AG310) combines an ADSL2+ modem, router with 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch and ATA with FXS and FXO ports. It is designed to be remotely provisioned, configured and managed by a service provider and can serve as the main hub of a home or office LAN. A standard analog phone or fax can be connected to the FXS port for VoIP calling. The FXO port provides fallback to a traditional Telco or PBX connection in the event of power or Internet connection loss.

Security featurs supported by the AG310's NAT router include VPN Pass-through for IPSec, PPTP and L2TP Protocols, Port Filtering, MAC and IP Address Filtering, DMZ Hosting, PAP and CHAP authentication. Other features include SPI firewall with Denial of Service prevention, email and web-based logging, URL and ToD filtering and keyword, Java, ActiveX, Proxy, and cookie blocking. The AG310 is available immediately at around $136 estimated street.
