VeriSign and AirMagnet today announced a new service designed to shield corporate wireless networks from data theft and other security threats. VeriSign Wireless IPS is the latest addition to VeriSigns Managed Security Services, which is part of the VeriSign Layered Security Services Solution. The new service helps customers design, deploy, manage and monitor wireless intrusion prevention systems. A key benefit of the new service is the integration of intrusion prevention systems (IPS) for wired and wireless networks through the combination of AirMagnet and VeriSign Teraguard technologies. Other features include design and implementation through VeriSign's Global Consulting Service, 24/7 monitoring and improved compliance with HIPAA, GLBA, PCI and other regulatory assessments. VeriSign Wireless IPS is currently available in North America and will be available in Europe fall of 2007.
