Iomega today announced new rackmount and desktop NASes targeted at small and mid-sized businesses.

The StorCenter Pro NAS 200r 1TB Server and the StorCenter Pro NAS 200r 1TB Server with Print Serving capability are four-drive "data center" products powered by Windows Storage Server 2003 R2. The NASes support Microsoft’s Encrypting File System, Volume Shadow Copy Services, and Active Directory Services. The Print Serving version can support up to five printers, or more with an optional Windows Print Server upgrade.

Also introduced is the desktop StorCenter Pro NAS 150d 3TB Server with Active Directory support. This Linux-based NAS supports computers running the Windows, Unix, Linux and Mac OS X operating systems and includes a USB print server.

All products feature gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) LAN connection, come with four hot-swappable SATA-II drives that can be configured for RAID 0, 1 or 5 and include five client licenses for EMC Retrospect Express backup software. The StorCenter Pro NAS 200r also comes with CA eTrust Antivirus version 7.1 software pre-installed and CA BrightStor ARCserve OEM edition with Disaster Recovery, version 11.5.

The StorCenter Pro NAS 150d 3TB Server is available now at an MSRP of $1,699.00. The StorCenter Pro NAS 200r 1TB Server and Pro NAS 200r 1TB Server with Print will be available later this month at MSRP's of $1,899.00 and $2,499.00 respectively.
