Setting up the Airport Extreme is easy to do with the setup Wizard.

ImageIn this first step of the eight step configuration setup, you name the wireless network as well as name the base station. The wireless network name is what you see when you scan for available wireless networks. The Base station name helps you identify base stations in a multiple base station environment. Note that in the left panel, the yellow status light reflects an error condition, and mirrors the status light on the front panel. Since the base station hasn’t been named, it takes on the name of Base Station with the last six digits of the Airport’s MAC address.
