Hawking Technologies announced today that it has begun shipping a draft 802.11n USB networking adapter with upgradeable antennas and a USB print server designed for use with multifunction printers. The HWUN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N USB Adapter with Upgradeable Antennas is a draft 2.0 802.11n wireless adapter that supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 and has two removable antennas. It is available now at a street price as low as $80. The HMPS1U 1-Port USB 2.0 Print Server for Multifunction Printers connects a USB multifunction printer to your existing home or office network via a 10/100 Ethernet port. It uses special "NetUSB" technology that recognizes print calls from network computers and differentiates them from scan and copy functions, which are handled by a multifunction-capable host computer. The server supports both LPR and IPP protocols, the latter allowing Internet-based printing and can also share a USB storage device (thumb drive, card reader, hard drive, etc.) . The HMPS1U is available now at a street price as low as $55. Comments (0)
