![]() The 200rL Series is Iomega's first attempt at adding a Linux-based (Debian) offering to its Windows Storage Server-based Small / Medium Business NAS product line. The 200rL comes in 1, 2 and 3 TB configurations in a 1U rack-mount format. We tested the 3 TB version. The feature set is surprisingly bare-bones, although there is a USB printer server. RAID 0, 0+1, 5 and JBOD modes are supported with hot-swappable drives. Performance, however, is excellent, in part due to the Intel Celeron D 352 @ 3.2GHz CPU and 512 MB of DDR2 memory. Our iozone-based tests had the 200rL topping the 1000 Mbps LAN, RAID 5 charts with slightly over 38 MBytes/s write throughput and in the top 5 for all other modes tested. Since only 9K jumbo frames are supported and our jumbo frame charts use 4K, we didn't run jumbo frame tests. Read the full review. Comments (0)
