D-Link today announced the expansion of its "Green Ethernet" switch product line to include three of its "Web Smart" series products.

"Green Ethernet" versions of D-Link's "Web Smart" 16-Port (DGS-1216T), 24-Port (DGS-1224T) and 48-Port (DGS-1248T) switches will begin shipping in "early Q3".

The new versions will support all the functions of the current products, but with the additional benefit of fanless designs that incorporate D-Link's power-saving technology. [related article]

D-Link also recently announced price reductions of up to 25 percent on its family of Web Smart switches.
