Updated Trendnet's TS-S402 is aiming for the low-cost BYOD RAID 1 NAS market, but it's not a lot cheaper than a D-Link DNS-323. Read the full review.

You need to disassemble the whole case to get to the main board. The Marvell 88F5182 (not an RDC 3210 as earlier indicated) CPU is covered by a thermal pad heatsink. The 10/100/1000 Ethernet port is via a Marvell 88E1118. Jumbo frames are not supported. 32 MB of RAM and 4 MB of flash finish the design.
