The WRT54G2 will become Linksys' entry-level standard 802.11g wireless router, replacing the WRT54G. Read the full review.
  Unidirectional routing throughput tops out at around 72 Mbps. But simultaneous bi-directional throughput drops to about 45 Mbps. The G2 seems to share the WRT54GL's problem with running full-bore in both directions. Downlink throughput gets choked back severely, but uplink throughput also suffers.Maximum Simultaneous sessions measured a dismal 8 primarily due to the simultaneous up/down throughput problem. Use the Router Charts to compare against other routers.
