The Central Axis is a single drive NAS with a 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA II internal drive. Network connection is via a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port. Dual USB 2.0 ports support expansion drives and USB printer sharing. The product has a built-in UPnP / DLNA compliant media server that supports Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 and other media players. Files stored on the Central Axis can be remotely accessed via a secure web portal that does not require opening ports on a local router. The product will be available next month at an MSRP of $329.99.
