The Wi-Fi Alliance today announced its Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Voice-Personal program that includes both interoperability and quality of service tests. The first round of certified products includes access points from Cisco (AIR-AP1252AG and AIR-AP1231G with AIR- RM21A) and Meru Networks (AP200) and internal notebook adapters from Intel (4965AGN and 3945ABG). No Voice Over Wi-Fi phones have been certified. Products that are Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Voice-Personal have also passed tests for core interoperability (802.11a/b/g or 802.11n draft 2.0), Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 security, Wi-Fi Multimedia for quality of service and WMM Power Save (access points only).
