Cisco today said that is moving all Linksys small business programs and products under its Channel Partner umbrella. The move brings the Linksys brand one step closer to the inevitable extinction that CEO John Chambers officially acknowledged a little over a year ago. All Linksys Business Series products are being moved into the Cisco SMB portfolio and the "more than 20,000" Linksys global channel partners have until September 16 to become Cisco Registered Channel Partners. Cisco said that this change "does not affect the Linksys consumer sales efforts". Related Articles:Linksys is Dead. Cisco Consumer Business Group is BornLinksys branding to be replaced by Cisco.
