D-Link adds licensed BitTorrent support to DNS-323 NAS Print E-mail

D-Link today announced a free upgrade for its DNS-323 NAS to enable standalone BitTorrent support.

The DNS-323 now includes the latest BitTorrent Software Development Kit (SDK) that supports the latest BitTorrent protocol enhancements and is compatible with all standard PC clients.

BitTorrent has licensed the DNS-323 and certified D-Link's DIR-655 Xtreme N 802.11n Wi-Fi router to manage BitTorrent multimedia content over high-speed Internet connections.

BitTorrent certification for routers seeks to "ensure the best possible consumer experience by minimizing the need for users to actively manage their router settings".

Free firmware upgrades for both the DNS-323 and DIR-655 are available from the D-Link Support Site.
