Axis Expands Low-End, Dome IP Camera Offerings

Axis logoAxis has introduced two lower-priced day/night and eight fixed dome network cameras.

The AXIS M1143-L (SVGA) and AXIS M1144-L (HDTV 720p/1.3MP) offer multiple H.264 and Motion JPEG streams that can be individually optimized for bandwidth and storage efficiency.

Axis says the two high-efficiency IR LEDs are mounted behind the lens to dissipate heat for longer life and provide 50 feet of IR illumination.

Other features include manual focus and field-of-view adjust, built-in Micro SD/SDHC memory card slot, pixel counter, corridor format, PoE (IEEE 802.3af) support and an I/O port to connect sensor / alarm devices. Both cameras are supported by AXIS’ Camera Companion and Video Hosting System.

The M1143-L and M1144-L will ship sometime in Q2 at MSRPs of $499 and $599, respectively.

Also announced were eight new P33-series Fixed Dome Network Cameras including lower-cost indoor models and indoor and outdoor models offering features such as vandal resistance, audio, I/O ports and integrated IR illumination. Here is the list:

The new models use a new 1/3" image sensor that provides 720p/1.3MP resolution on the HD models. Wide-angle models also offer an angle of view of more than 100°.

The new P33 series cameras will also ship in Q2 at MSRPs between $599 to $1059.
