Roku logo Roku has updated two of its internet media streamers, one with voice search.

The new top-of-line Roku 3 now includes voice search. An included enhanced remote control features a button to activate voice search, a headphone jack to enable private listening and motion control to play casual games.

The new Roku 3 will be available starting April 13 from retailers for $99.99 MSRP.

The new Roku 2 is basically an upgraded Roku 3, without the fancier remote and voice search. It will retail for $69.99 when it also hits shelves April 13.

Both models feature 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and 802.11a/b/g/n wireless network connection, microSD card slot for storage expansion, USB 2.0 port for media playback and HDMI port supporting 720 and 1080p video and Digital over HDMI (Dolby 7.1 and 5.1 surround pass through) audio.

Roku also announced a new "Roku Feed" feature to allow consumers to get automatic updates on pricing and availability of new entertainment. Roku is launching the feature with a focus on "Movies Coming Soon" that shows when a new movie is available for streaming on which services and how much it costs.

The $49.99 Roku Streaming Stick and Roku 1 didn’t get a hardware upgrade, but they will support the new features, as will the older Roku LT, 2 HD, 2 XS and HD models. New Android and iOS apps supporting the new features will also be available shortly.
