Roku Pops Out $25 Streamer

Roku logoRoku’s SE media streamer is its cheapest yet, but is a holiday special only.

The company said its Roku SE streamer will be available in the U.S. for a limited time only during Black Friday weekend online and at select national retailers starting Thanksgiving day, Thursday November 26.

The SE connects via 802.11a/b/g/n only (no Ethernet) and supports 480p, 720p via both analog composite (red / white / yellow) and HDMI outputs and 1080p via HDMI only. It comes with an IR remote (with batteries) and power adapter, but no cables.

It runs Roku’s latest OS 7, with access to ~ 3,000 streaming entertainment channels and ability to search across 20+ top streaming channels to easily see available streaming options.
