D-Link Offers Another 802.11b Disable Opportunity

E-mail Print

Non-downgradeable "beta" 1.10 firmware was posted for D-Link's DIR-825 Xtreme N Dual Band Gigabit Router on April 14. Like the now-removed 1.30 firmware for the DIR-655, the 1.10 firmware includes bugfixes, but also disables 802.11b support.

No comment yet from D-Link about whether they will also withdraw this "beta" and replace it with a bugfix release that does not include disabling 802.11b.
