The new members are Toshiba, which has joined the board of directors and Agilent Technologies, Beam Networks, Ralink Technology and Texas Instruments.
WiGig Alliance members are defining a unified specification for using unlicensed 60 GHz spectrum for in-room wireless device-to-device communication. The WiGig specification is expected to be available to member companies by the end of this year.
