D-Link Ships Cheap Internet Media Player

D-Link has announced an inexpensive compact streaming media player.

The DSM-310 MovieNite is primarily focused on delivering VUDU content, but also accesses content from Netflix, Pandora, Picasa and YouTube.

The compact player can also access mydlink-enabled IP cameras for convenient viewing on your TV.

The player has both analog audio/video and HDMI 1.4 outputs and comes with an infrared remote. Network connection is via 10/100 Ethernet or 802.11bgn wireless. A free remote app is available for iPhone and Android.

The DSM-310 is now available from Walmart for $48.

D-Link yesterday announced the start of shipments of its DPG-1200 PC-on-TV, which was previewed at January's Consumer Electronics show. The device allows any PC-based audio or video content to be remotely displayed on remote TVs or displays.
