FCC approves DS-OFDM UWB Modulation Technique

Focus’ Talaria UWB wireless technology supports both WiMedia Standard MB-OFDM modulation and Focus’ DS-OFDM modulation and can communicate with both WiMedia and DS-OFDM devices simultaneously. Talaria is also designed to be compatible with the Certified Wireless USB Standard.

The Talaria UWB technology analog chip operates between 3.2 gigahertz (GHz) and 7.4 GHz. Selectable rate settings include 110, 440, 660 and 880 Mbps. The digital chip uses 0.13 micron CMOS process technology.
