The MAP-625 also supports Colubris’ Local Mesh Protocol for coverage where Ethernet cable is not available. Ethernet LAN connection is via a gigabit Ethernet port.

The new AP is part of Colubris’ Intelligent Mobility Solution that combines intelligent access points at the network edge with centralized control and management. The architecture supports the addition of 802.11n to an existing WLAN by the simple addition of a MAP-625.

The MAP-625 is priced at $999. Availability was not given.
