Logitech Announces All-In-One Networked Music Player

The Boom has an integrated, all-digital 30-watt amplifier accompanied by two ¾-inch, high-definition, soft-dome tweeters and two 3-inch, high-power, long-throw woofers. There is also a subwoofer connection and 3.5 mm jack for headphones. Network connection is via 10/100 Ethernet or 802.11b/g wireless LAN.

MP3, AAC, WMA, Ogg, FLAC, Apple lossless, WMA lossless, WAV, and AIFF music file formats are supported, streaming from Logitech’s SqueezeCenter service. Internet radio and subscription services such Rhapsody, Last.FM, Slacker, Pandora and Sirius can be accessed via SqueezeNetwork.

Other features include alarm clock, six preset buttons and infrared remote control.

The Squeezebox Boom will be available next month for $299.99 MSRP.
