Ekahau HeatMapper runs on Windows XP and Vista 32 systems and maps wireless signal strength using a notebook’s internal or external wireless adapter. The application also locates all detected access points and shows their configurations and security settings.

The free downloadable tool is based on the technology used in Ekahau Site Survey, an enterprise-grade Wi-Fi planning, verification and troubleshooting tool.
