ASUSTOR Adds Another i3 NAS

ASUSTOR logoASUSTOR has added a four-bay model to its 7 Series family.

The four-bay AS7004T joins the recently announced 8 bay AS7008T and 10-bay AS7010T in ASUSTOR’s 7 Series tower line.

Like its higher-capacity siblings, the AS7004T runs on a 3.5 GHz dual-core Intel Core i3-4330 processor with 2 GB of SO-DIMM DDR3 RAM expandable to a maximum of 16GB.

Ports include dual aggregatable Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, two eSATA one HDMI. An IR receiver and S/PDIF port are included for multimedia support. There is no PCIe slot to support optional 10GbE.

The AS7004T accepts 2.5" and 3.5" hard and solid state drives configurable in multiple individual, JBOD and RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 volumes with support for online RAID expansion and level migration.

The new NAS runs ASUSTOR’s ADM 2.3 operating system with new features including support for TFTP, SMB 2.0 and proxy server connection, multiple data protection mechanisms and Windows ACL advanced file permissions management.

The AS7004T carries a three-year limited warranty and starts shipping "shortly" for $1119 MSRP.
