Axis adds video server blade and rack solution

Other features include video motion detection, image upload, scheduled and triggered event functionality with alarm notification, serial port for remote control of analog pan/tilt/zoom cameras and Quality of Service (QoS), Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and IPv4 address support. Security features include multiple user access levels, HTTPS encryption, IEEE 802.1X and IP address filtering to secure video handling and configuration.

The AXIS 291 1U Video Server Rack holds up to three interchangeable and hot-swappable Axis blade video servers to support up to 12 IP cameras through a gigabit Ethernet port. The Rack has connectors for network, serial ports and input/output (I/O) at the rear of each slot and an integrated power supply.

The AXIS 243Q and AXIS 291 1U are available now at suggested U.S. list prices of $999 and $399, respectively.
