D-Link logoD-Link has announced a "smart" light switch with built-in network camera.

The Komfy Switch with Camera (DKZ-201S) is a combination smart light switch with integrated 1080p network camera and temperature, humidity and air quality (including CO2) sensors.

Komfy’s built-in Full HD 1080p 3 MP camera has a 130 degree wide angle lens, 16 ft IR night vision illumination range, 2x digital zoom and built-in microphone.nIt connects via 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.

Motion-triggered video clips up to 50 seconds with a 3 second pre-trigger buffer can be recorded to a microSD card (64 GB max.). 8 days of free cloud storage for the clips is also available.

The switch is rated for incandescent, fluorescent and halogen bulbs up to 600 W, LED and CFL bulbs up to 150 W and 1/2 HP motor switching.

Komfy operates using iOS and Android apps from mobile devices (Bluetooth 4.0 required for setup). It also supports IFTTT automation.

The Komfy Switch with Camera comes in white and black and is sized to replace a standard 1 or 2-gang light switch. It can be pre-ordered now for $299.99 with shipment next month.
