Cisco‘s Consumer Business Group now has a new boss.

Cisco yesterday said that Jonathan Kaplan, former CEO of Pure Digital, which Cisco bought for close to $600 million in May 2009, will be leaving Cisco to "pursue other career opportunities".

The news came via a Cisco blog entry posted after yesterday’s market close and a disappointing earnings report.

The Consumer Business Group will now report to Marthin De Beer, who will remain responsible for leading the TelePresence and Emerging Technologies groups.
