Actiontec Releases MoCA 2.0 AC Wireless Extenders

Actiontec logoActiontec has released a new family of 802.11ac Wireless Network Extenders.

The new family of 802.11ac Wireless Network Extenders uses bonded MoCA 2.0 to extend Ethernet and Wi-Fi LANs via standard coax cabling.

The 2×2 2.4 GHz radio supports link rates up to 300 Mbps, while the 4×4 MU-MIMO ready 5 GHz radio supports rates up to 1.7 Gbps when used with devices supporting those link rates. The WCB6200Q has two Gigabit Ethernet Ports, while the WCB6240Q has four.

Other features include 4 SSIDs per radio, Wi-Fi Protected Setup, priority-based QoS and TR-069 management.

The WCB6200Q can be ordered from Actiontec’s web store, but is presently showing as sold out. The adapter will be available from Amazon in October.
