NAS Features

New Charts are now available for USB and eSATA attached backup, with drives formatted in FAT, EXT3 and NTFS. Since not all products have eSATA ports or support all three formats, you may not find a particular product in a chart.

We also have added Charts for iSCSI Target Write and Read for those products that support this feature. The test is performed using the new NAS Testbed using the same Vista SP1 filecopy test used for the NAS File Copy Test.

Since we no longer test NASes with a 100 Mbps LAN connection, we have removed all 100 Mbps NAS Charts to streamline Chart selection. Only the 100 Mbps Average Write and Read Performance charts remain, to allow access to data for older products.

Please drop us a line or post a comment to share your thoughts about these changes or if you have a question.
