NAS News

The company said that its EliteNAS EN104L+ and EN104L+B are the first to use Intel's 1.6GHz Atom 330 Dual Core processor and can achieve better than 80 MB/s transfer rates.

The rackmount NASes also come with 1 GB of DDR2 ECC RAM and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports that support failover, load balance and aggregation modes. Four drive bays accept up to 2 TB 3.5" SATA drives that can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 5 and 6 with spare volumes.

Other features include iSCSI initiator and target, Active Directory / Domain authentication, NAS to NAS replication, volume snapshot and local tape backup.

The EliteNAS is available now in silver and black (the +B) in driveless, 500 GB, 750 GB, 1 TB and 1.5 TB configurations starting at $989.
