QNAP has released a beta for its next NAS OS that includes VPN and proxy servers.
Among the new and enhanced features of the V3.6 beta firmware are:
- VPN Service (with OpenVPN and PPTP services)
- Squid proxy server 3.1.16
- LDAP Server
- Enhanced Music Station with web streaming and USB speaker support for local playback
- New UI for QPKG Center with easy online installation
- Enhanced MyCloudNAS 1.2 with Email invitation and password reset functions
- Enhanced Web File Manager with public file sharing link feature and advanced upload function for files over 2 GB
- New NetBak Replicator 4 Windows client backup utility with Email notification
The V3.6 beta is available now for download. Check this QNAP forum post for supported models and download links.
