Thecus says it has two new Atom NASes and a revamped NAS OS in the works.
Among the information in Thecus' CeBIT teaser press release today is news of new N2520 and N4520 home/SOHO NASes. There is little information other than they have "the latest Intel Atom processor".
Thecus' current top-of-line consumer NAS is the Cavium-powered N4100EVO. The current top SOHO dual-bay offering, the N2200XXX is already Atom-based, using a 1.8 GHz D525 CPU.
There is no information on either price or availability for the new NAS duo at this point.
Thecus also says it will provide the first look at ThecusOS 6. Described as "still under construction", its features are said to include automatic firmware and module updating and a "complete make-over" in its user interface. Now, that, we'll have to see!
CeBIT runs from March 5-9 in Hanover, Germany.
