QNAP Adds 2-bay Atom-based NAS

The TS-239 Pro Turbo NAS uses an Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU and has 1 GB of DDRII RAM, dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN, three USB 2.0 and two eSATA ports. Single drive, JBOD and RAID 0 and 1 modes are supported and volume space can be allocated as iSCSI targets.

The new NAS supports the same feature set as QNAP’s other products including SMB, AFP and NFS network file systems, AD / NT domain authentication, iTunes and UPnP AV / DLNA media serving and LAMP webserving.

Price and availability were not announced, but the product has been spotted in stock online for $499.
