The FreeAgent DockStar Network Adapter has a slot for FreeAgent Go drives, three USB 2.0 ports for additional drives and a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port for network connection.

The adapter uses the Pogoplug service from Cloud Engines to provide password-protected local and remote access to files from any web browser. A downloadable application for Windows and Mac OS systems also enables folder access without using a web browser.

Links to content can also be easily published to MySpace, Facebook and Twitter as well as RSS feeds. These feeds can be automatically updated when folder content changes.

The FreeAgent DockStar network adapter is available immediately for $99.99 MSRP, including one year of Pogoplug service for remote access and sharing ($29.99 / year thereafter).

Seagate also announced new 1 TB, 880 GB and 750 GB capacities for the FreeAgent Go line.
