Synology Intros $150 Single-Bay NAS

Synology DS110j Synology today announced a single bay NAS aimed at SOHO users with street pricing as low as $150.
[Update: Synology says the introduction is for Asia and Europe only.]

The Disk Station DS110j has a hardware platform including an 800 MHz Marvell Kirkwood CPU, 128 MB of DDRII RAM, Gigabit LAN port and 3 USB 2.0 ports.

It accepts a single 3.5" SATA drive and can also use 2.5" SATA drives using an optional disk holder.

The DS110j runs Synology’s DSM 2.2 OS, which provides a rich feature set including automated backup, DLNA / UPnP AV and iTunes media streaming, photo sharing, LAMP webserving, IP camera recording and Apple Time Machine support.

The product is shipping to etailers now and will be available shortly.
