WD TV Live HubWestern Digital today introduced a new addition to its line of WD TV media players.

The WD TV Live Hub media center is a 1080p player with internal 1 TB drive designed to play "almost any type of media file". The player includes built-in apps for accessing content from Netflix, Blockbuster On Demand, YouTube, Facebook, Pandora, flickr, Live365.com, Mediafly and AccuWeather.com.

Content can be stored on and played from the internal 1 TB drive, eliminating problems from slow or erratic wireless networks. The Hub can also be used as a NAS and DLNA / UPnP AV media server, with Gigabit Ethernet and optional wireless network connections. A programmable wireless remote is included and wired and wireless USB keyboards are also supported.

AV outputs include HDMI 1.4, composite and component video and optical audio. Front and rear USB 2.0 ports allow connection of hard and flash drives, camcorders and cameras for easy file playback and transfer.

1080p video formats include .mkv, .mp4 and .mov. with up to 60 fps frame rates. Audio formats include mp3, wav, wma, aac, FLAC and OGG.

The WD TV Live Hub media center is available shortly exclusively from Best Buy and direct from WD. MSRP is $199.99.
