NETGEAR Announces Open Source N Router

The WNR3500L RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router with USB is a single-band dual-stream N router with Gigabit Ethernet ports and supporting NETGEAR’s ReadyShare USB storage access.

It runs on a 480 MHz MIPS 74K CPU core with embedded hardware acceleration, 8 MB of flash and 64 MB of RAM. NETGEAR says the WNR3500L supports 350 Mbps of download wired routing throughput.

Other features include WDS wireless repeating, three internal Metamaterial antennas and USB modem support for 3G/4G/WiMax high-speed cellular connections. The ReadyShare NAS feature includes remote access, and DLNA/UPnP Media Server support.
