hField Technologies just launched new Mac OS software for its Wi-Fire long-range USB Wi-Fi adapter.
The new Wi-Fire Connection Manager 2.0 for Mac runs from an icon in the Mac's Menu Bar and shows signal strength and quality, SSID and encryption type for each in-range network.
The new utility is a free download and works on PPC and Intel Mac's running OS X 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6.
The Wi-Fire itself is available for around $59 and is an 802.11b/g USB adapter with integrated high-gain antenna.
