D-Link logoD-Link has started to ship a wall-plugged 802.11ac wireless extender announced at January’s CES.

The DAP-1520 Wi-Fi AC750 Dual Band Range Extender is an AC750 class wireless range extender supporting both 2.4 and 5 GHz network extension simultaneously in a compact wall-plugged format. Maximum link rates are 300 Mbps for 2.4 GHz and 433 Mbps for 5 GHz.

Features include Wi-Fi Protected setup, WPA / WPA2 wireless encryption. Unlike the similarly spec’d NETGEAR EX6100, however, the DAP-1520 does not have an Ethernet port for use as a bridge.

On the other hand, the DAP-1520 is around $25 cheaper at $65 street.
