Seagate adds small-business RAID 1 NAS

The Central Axis Business Edition has two 1 TB drives that can be configured in JBOD or RAID 1 and a single 10/100/1000 Ethernet port for LAN connection. Two USB 2.0 ports can be used for additional storage or to share a USB printer.

The Business Edition supports all the features in Maxtor’s single-drive Central Axis including automatic client backup, secure remote web-based access and Maxtor’s "Drag and Sort" file copy-and-sort. It also supports up to 10 historical versions of information and incremental scheduled backups.

The Central Axis Business Edition will be available later this month at an MSRP of $479.99
