D-Link today announced a lifetime warranty for all its switches and the addition of a cloud backup service to its DNS-323 NAS.

Effective June 1, 2010 the new limited lifetime warranty will apply to all D-Link switches, including Consumer Unmanaged, Unmanaged, Web Smart, Managed, Unified and Chassis switches. The warranty on power supplies and fans is also extended to five years.

In storage, D-Link has partnered with CTERA to integrate its online backup service into the DNS-323 NAS. The service lets users back up files from any PC to the DNS-323, which then can automatically back up to CTERA’s service. File can be accessed or recovered via web browser and users can roll back stored files to previous versions up to 30 days old.

The service will start up sometime this month and all new and current DNS-323 owners will have a free 30 day trial. Annual plans are available starting from $99 per year. Pay-as-you-go plans are also available, starting from $4.99 a month. To sign up for the new service, visit http://dlink.ctera.com.
