The trio of enterprise-class NASes include the 8 bay N8900V, 12 bay N12000V and 16 bay N1600V.

The 2U high N8900V is based on a 2.6 GHz Intel Pentium G620 processor with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and eight hot-swappable bays for 3.5" SATA III drives. Network connection is via three 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports or optional 10 GbE interface that can be added to an open PCIe slot.

External drive expansion is supported via six USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and one eSATA ports. Other hardware ports include one HDMI output, MIC/Line audio inputs and Audio output.

The N12000V and N16000V are powered by a 3.1 GHz Intel Xeon E3-1225 w/ Intel C206 chipset and 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. The 12 or 16 hot-swappable bays support either SATA or SAS 3.5" drives. The same Gigabit Ethernet and 10 GbE LAN connections and USB / eSATA ports as on the N8900V are offered on both models. But the HDMI and audio in/outs are not.

As the rear views below show, all three chassis include multiple PCIe slots for expansion and configuration flexibility and also redundant power supplies.

All models support many other features including support for multiple RAID volumes, EXT3/EXT4/XFS file systems, iSCSI thin provisioning, rsync backup and bundled Acronis True image for Windows client backup.

The N8900V, N12000V and N16000V will be shipping later this month at MSRPs of $2285, $3645 and $4435, respectively.
