Intel today announced it is buying security technology company McAfee for $7.68 B. McAfee’s revenue last year was about $2 B.

HELIOS Software today released a free download of a modified Yellow Dog Linux (YDL) distribution, optimized to use Sony's Playstation 3 as a test-drive server.

The distro is offered under basic agreement with Terra Soft Solutions, the developer of YDL. HELIOS prepared the distro primarily to provide a test-drive platform for its file, print, PDF and image server software.
