I'm always thinking about ways to better serve existing readers and attract new ones and two thoughts have been rumbling around in my head.
SmallNetBuilder isn't particularly helpful to networking newbies or people who have no interest in becoming networking experts. This has been by design, since I have felt that there were plenty of other places where this information could be found.
But the past few years seem to have thinned the herd of sites and blogs covering networking in general and small networks in particular and I see the need to change.

A New Look
With the New Year comes changes and resolutions and procrastination. I had wanted to have a new look to re-launch SmallNetBuilder now that we are back on our own, right as the calendar turned January 1. But CES and other things got in the way.
