Blue Coat has announced a new cloud service platform for its security products.

The Blue Coat Cloud Service will offer some of BlueCoat’s products as cloud services. The first subscription module for the service is the Web Security Module.

The module integrates Blue Coat’s WebPulse content filtering and malware scanning with social media access control and web-based reporting.

Blue Coat says the new module is currently in beta and will be generally available by the end of April. More details are available in this brochure.

Blue Coat is perhaps best known in medium to large businesses for providing website blacklist services.
